Your EarlySteps program will usually do everything they can to meet your needs, but if you have a complaint, there are things you can do.
Things to remember:
-
The IDEA law protects your rights.
-
The LDH must make sure your rights are upheld.
What you can do if you have a complaint:
-
First, talk to your FSC or the Director of your EarlySteps program. They will try to resolve your concern or tell you who to contact.
-
If that doesn't work, you can file your complaint with LDH.
-
Ask your Families Helping Families Center for help. Each office should have a person from EarlySteps to help when you have a problem.
To learn more, see the other section about your legal rights and the complaint process.
