Finding housing for people with disabilities can be a hard process. But there is help!
We encourage you to be patient, persistent, and hopeful.
We can't find you a place to live or promise that you'll get services, but we'll give you the information you need to go through the process.
Here's what we will do:
-
Tell you how to connect with community organizations and state offices that can help you find a place to live and find the support services you need. The people in these organizations will help you based on your specific situation.
-
Help you understand what your options are and how to ask for them. Sometimes you have to ask for certain services or programs by name.
Here's what you can do:
-
Contact the organizations and offices we tell you about.
-
Ask questions, and make sure you understand your options.
-
If you're not happy with what you find, keep trying!
We hope this Guide will answer your questions. If not, we'll tell you who to call.
