Accept the Waiver offer

If you get a letter offering you a Waiver, contact them right away and accept!

The letter will come from Statistical Resources, Inc. (SRI).

Here's what you should do:

  • Don't throw it out by mistake!

  • Keep a copy of the letter for your records.

  • Call them and write a letter to accept the Waiver. Make sure to keep a copy of your letter. And make sure it has a date on it.

What if I wanted the NOW Waiver, but I get offered the Children's Choice?

  • Don't reject it, thinking you'll wait for the NOW! Your child will get the adult services they need when they turn 21, if they still qualify.
  • They will offer you the waiver services that meet your needs and are available.

If you have the Children's Choice, your child will AUTOMATICALLY switch to an adult waiver when they turn 21! So they will have access to the full range of NOW, ROW or Supports waiver services, depending on their needs.
