If you get SSI or SSDI benefits, there are some programs to help you find and keep a job.
Ticket to Work Program:
-
You get a voucher, which is like a ticket that lets you get different kinds of support for finding jobs.
-
You can take your voucher to LRS or to an employment network to find services to help you.
Here's what you can do:
-
Go to the Ticket to Work website to learn more. (It will open in a new tab on your screen)
-
Call the SSA Ticket Program Operations Support Manager, MAXIMUS: 866-YOURTICKET(866-968-7842) or for TTY/TDD call 866-833-2967.
-
Ask about this at one of the support organizations, like an Independent Living Center. (We'll tell you about them later!)
Learn more about other kinds of employment support from Social Security:
- The Red Book - A Guide to Work Incentives (It will open in a new tab on your screen. It's also in Spanish.)
Go to our SSI Benefits Guide to learn how to apply.
