We know finding housing and support services can be very hard.
It's easy to get discouraged, but there are people you can talk to for emotional support.
Here's what you can do:
-
Talk to your family and friends for support.
-
Connect with local support organizations. (See the other sections in the menu on the left.)
-
Stay positive and do things you enjoy.
If you are looking for housing for a family member, click on "A Note to Families" below:
We understand that this is a difficult process for the whole family!
If you can't take care of your family member in your own home, don't feel guilty! You can love someone very much, but still need to have others help care for them. You will still be giving them your love and support.
It can be hard to take care of a family member with very big needs. You have probably done this for many years already. It's ok to look for another situation.
Remember: you have a life to live, too. And when you get older and can't take care of them, it will be hard for them to move to another place.
We'll connect you with services to help you find a place that takes good care of them.
