The Arcs are a good example of what these programs may offer. They have offices throughout the state and each offers slightly different services.

The Arc of Baton Rouge

This Arc provides a range of services to help young adults with autism to transition from high school or other educational programs into their next phase of life. Their services include:

  • School to Community Transition Program

  • Help with finding college programs and applying

  • Training in vocational and pre-employment skills, and help with job placement

  • Training in independent living skills

  • Sports and recreation opportunities
