My child has a learning disability. Now what?

If your child has had an evaluation and is found to have a learning disability like dyslexia or something else, here are the next steps:

Step #1

Set up an education plan (IEP) for your child with the school team.

Step #2

Agree to the goals, instructional methods and other services like therapies, if needed.

Step #3

Monitor your child’s progress as they put the services in place.

Step #4

Meet with the team anytime you feel the plan needs to change.
